A certain brigade organized Party member cadres to study chapter by chapter and article by article through works such as Excerpts from Xi Jinping's Discourses on Establishing and Practicing a Correct Outlook on Political Achievement; a certain unit invited theoretical experts to provide theoretical exposition of Chairman Xi's important speech at the senior cadre training course for the entire military… Since the study and education campaign on establishing and practicing a correct outlook on political achievement was launched, units at all levels throughout the entire military have deepened theoretical study by closely linking it to ideological rectification (思想整风), persisting in returning to the source and consolidating the foundation (正本清源、固本培元) through studying, reflecting, practicing, and internalizing, genuinely excising ideological impurities from the depths of the soul and setting right what has been inverted and distorted, and consciously conducting work and undertakings with a new work style, new bearing, and new appearance, so as to earn the trust of officers and soldiers.

Theory is the basis of action; action is the realization of theory. The original aspiration with which Party member cadres conduct work and undertakings comes not only from a simple and genuine feeling toward the people and an unswerving pursuit of truth, but is built even more upon the scientific theory of Marxism. In the course of the study and education campaign, whether theoretical study concerning the establishment and practice of a correct outlook on political achievement can be deepened by closely linking it to ideological rectification directly determines the effectiveness of the study and education campaign. It can be said that persisting in in-depth theoretical study means grasping the root and source of the study and education campaign, grasping the root and soul of ideological rectification, and is all the more conducive to guiding Party member cadres to completely, accurately, and comprehensively implement the new development philosophy and to advance the high-quality development of our military's modernization.

"The clearer one's understanding, the more resolute one's action; the more resolute one's action, the clearer one's understanding." To drive the study and education campaign to greater depth and substance, Party member cadres must treat theoretical study as the "deepening chapter" of the study and education campaign, the "centerpiece" of ideological transformation, and the "assembly call" of development mobilization, and must continuously establish and practice a correct outlook on political achievement through the profundity and thoroughness of theoretical study.

Engels pointed out: "If a person wishes to study a scientific problem, he must first learn to read the works he intends to use exactly as the author wrote them, and above all must not read into the original text things that are not there." Through holding study classes, study sessions of theoretical study central groups, thematic seminars, and other means, in-depth discussion and concentrated exchange should be conducted, so as to achieve genuine internalization and integrated comprehension.

Thought is the precursor to action; without correct thought, correct action is impossible. In establishing and practicing a correct outlook on political achievement, Party character (党性) plays the decisive role. Rectifying a misaligned outlook on political achievement also requires strengthening ideological transformation — transforming thought through the study of thought, unifying thought through the emancipation of thought — and genuinely resolving fundamental ideological problems such as Party character cultivation, ideals and convictions, and official virtue and personal character. Only by persisting in serving the Party for the public good and abandoning selfish and impure motives can one ensure that the outlook on political achievement does not deviate. Chairman Xi has pointed out that every comrade bears the responsibility to transform and improve himself; sweeping away ideological dust, eliminating bad habits, and correcting erroneous words and deeds is a never-ending process, always ongoing. The process of ideological transformation is both a process of upholding truth and correcting errors, and a process of tempering ideological work style and elevating ideological horizons. Party member cadres should persistently draw nourishment for Party character from the Party's innovative theories, firmly establish and practice an outlook on political achievement consistent with the Party's nature and purpose and aligned with the fundamental interests of the people, and strive to conduct work and undertakings with strong Party character.

Chairman Xi has emphasized: "We must publicize positive models, publicize advanced individuals around Party member cadres who are credible and worth emulating, and promote a group of good experiences that can be replicated and widely applied. We must conduct in-depth analysis of negative models, use cases to clarify laws and regulations and promote rectification, and give full play to their warning function."
