PLA Daily, Beijing, May 27 — Reporters Yan Shan and Yan Zifeng report: A special conference on deepening the arming of minds with Xi Jinping's Thought on Strengthening the Military (深化习近平强军思想武装专题会议) was convened in Beijing on the 27th. Zhang Shengmin, Vice Chairman of the Central Military Commission, attended the conference and delivered remarks. He stressed that it is necessary to perseveringly arm the mind, guide practice, and drive work with Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era; to deepen theoretical arming (理论武装) with a higher political standpoint and solid, forceful measures; to firmly establish the guiding status of Xi Jinping's Thought on Strengthening the Military in national defense and military building; and to drive the entire military to welcome the centenary of the founding of the Army with a completely new political bearing.
