Across the river of stars, on a low Earth orbit 400 kilometers above the planet, China's space station patrols the heavens day and night in stable operation.

On the banks of the Ruoshui River, ancient poplars stand proud after a thousand years, as the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center welcomes yet another historic moment — the Shenzhou-23 crewed spacecraft is about to depart from this place, bound for "Tiangong."

At the Shenzhou-23 crewed mission crew meet-the-press conference held on May 23, three astronauts appeared to cheers: commander and spaceflight engineer Zhu Yangzhu, spacecraft pilot Zhang Zhiyuan, and payload specialist Li Jiaying.

This is a crew of distinctive character: all members were born in the 1980s; a third-cohort astronaut is serving as commander for the first time; fourth-cohort astronauts are executing a spaceflight mission for the first time; an astronaut from Hong Kong is venturing into space for the first time; and one astronaut will complete a one-year on-orbit stay for the first time…

In 2026, the glory of the 90th anniversary of the Long March victory and the 70th anniversary of China's space program converge. The Shenzhou-23 crewed mission crew will, through concrete action, write a new chapter in the "Space Long March" of China's astronauts in the new era.

Zhu Yangzhu, male, Han ethnicity, native of Peixian County, Jiangsu Province, holds a doctoral degree. Born September 1986, enlisted September 2005, joined the Chinese Communist Party December 2006. He is a Grade-3 astronaut in the People's Liberation Army Astronaut Corps, holding the rank of Army Colonel. He previously served as an associate professor at the Space Engineering University. In September 2020, he was selected as a spaceflight engineer in China's third cohort of astronauts. In May 2023, he executed the Shenzhou-16 crewed mission. In April 2024, he was awarded the honorary title of "Heroic Astronaut" by the CPC Central Committee, the State Council, and the Central Military Commission, and received the "Third-Class Space Meritorious Service Medal." Following comprehensive evaluation, he was selected for the Shenzhou-23 crewed mission crew and appointed commander.

Boldly Advancing on a Second Journey to Space

The first time a third-cohort astronaut serves as commander, a crew member executing a one-year on-orbit stay for the first time… China's first spaceflight engineer to fly in space, Zhu Yangzhu, is about to venture into space again — this time as commander of the Shenzhou-23 crew.

"When I received the appointment I was surprised, but mostly resolute." Facing reporters, Zhu Yangzhu's gaze was steady. The accumulation of multiple "firsts" poses unprecedented demands on the crew's physical and mental fitness, coordination, emergency response, and long-duration on-orbit capability.

This confidence stems from day-after-day of rigorous training, from the operational experience Zhu Yangzhu accumulated during the Shenzhou-16 crewed mission, and from the invaluable experience and outstanding qualities passed down from veteran astronauts. "Only by being comprehensively excellent can one respond with composure." At the crew's first meeting, he wrote down his goal: "Live happily, work efficiently, achieve zero mistakes, zero errors."

Zhu Yangzhu's dream of spaceflight began in his youth. In November 1998, the Leonid meteor shower erupted. In the early hours of the morning on the North Jiangsu Plain, twelve-year-old Zhu Yangzhu gazed up at the sky, and the magnificent spectacle of meteors filling the heavens planted deep within the boy's heart a seed of longing for the stars.

From that point on, "spaceflight" became the defining word in Zhu Yangzhu's life trajectory. After his college entrance examination, his sole application was to the spacecraft systems and engineering program at the National University of Defense Technology; over ten years of study, he cultivated deep expertise in aerodynamics and fluid mechanics.

When selection for China's third cohort of astronauts began, Zhu Yangzhu — by then an associate professor at the Space Engineering University — signed up without hesitation. After passing through successive rounds of selection, he was officially inducted into China's third cohort of astronauts in September 2020.

Dreams bloom only through arduous effort. Zhu Yangzhu's path to space is aptly captured in his own self-description as an "Arctic moth" (北极灯蛾) — accumulating energy through a long "winter," waiting only to finally break free from the chrysalis.

Underwater extravehicular activity training requires wearing a heavy spacesuit and precisely fitting one's feet into a restraint slot only 2 centimeters wide. Zhu Yangzhu worked through the problem repeatedly, relying on muscle memory and visual feedback, and ultimately overcame the challenge.

In December 2025, Zhu Yangzhu participated in China's first astronaut cave training exercise, staying for six days and five nights in a cave with an average temperature of 8 degrees Celsius and humidity of 99 percent, confronting challenges including traversing extremely narrow passages, climbing sheer cliffs, enduring cold and damp, physical exhaustion, fear of darkness, and the psychological stress of sensory deprivation.

To temper his psychological resilience, Zhu Yangzhu proposed that teammates briefly switch off their headlamps to experience the boundless darkness that "closely resembles an extravehicular activity in space." He was responsible for logistics coordination and experiments, working alongside teammates in a division of labor without division of effort, providing mutual support. At the conclusion of training, he reflected: "The cave and the space environment are similar — both test psychological resilience and teamwork. One person running fast is not success; the whole team returning safely and successfully is the true victory."

Zhu Yangzhu has always kept the mission patch he wore during the Shenzhou-16 crewed mission. On July 20, 2023, after approximately eight hours of extravehicular activity, Zhu Yangzhu became the first spaceflight engineer in China to conduct an EVA.

In the depths of space, his movements were precise, composed, and steady. Looking down at the Earth, he saw clusters of white clouds, the clear outlines of continents, the mouth of the Yellow River where it meets the sea — the magnificent rivers and mountains of the motherland rendered in concrete form. "I am grateful to our great motherland for lifting us up to realize our dream of spaceflight." Recalling that moment, he still cannot conceal his emotion.

"Returning from space is not the end, but a new beginning." In the face of honors, Zhu Yangzhu quickly reset to zero and devoted himself fully to preparing for the next mission.

The Shenzhou-23 crew is a combination of spacecraft pilot, spaceflight engineer, and payload specialist. Spacecraft pilot Zhang Zhiyuan is "steady and reserved, grounded and diligent"; payload specialist Li Jiaying is "careful and optimistic, intelligent and resilient." The three are close in age and temperament, sharing the common quality of being "gentle yet resolute": they support one another, making the space station a "home in space"; they are firm and unwavering, never compromising on standards.

As commander, Zhu Yangzhu understands that the team is the key to success. He has distilled two formulas: "1+1+1=1" and "1+1+1>3." The first represents unity of thought and alignment of goals — binding together the strengths of members from different cohorts and backgrounds into a single force. The second means complementary capabilities and compounding advantages, making the collective force far exceed the sum of its parts.

To forge an outstanding crew, Zhu Yangzhu has invested enormous effort. Given that Li Jiaying's training cycle was short, he drew on his own experience to explain things in detail, demanding "one more run-through" to ensure solid mastery of procedures. He emphasized: "Training must not only drill operations — one must understand the principles, know the logic, and be able to adapt. Only by drawing inferences from one case can one meet the unknown challenges of space."

Earlier this year, the crew conducted a two-week full-mission flight procedure simulation exercise, carrying out fully enclosed drills in a one-to-one scale experimental module of the three-module, two-spacecraft space station combination, following the exact work rhythm of space operations. Li Jiaying managed supplies and recorded experiments; Zhang Zhiyuan focused on platform maintenance; Zhu Yangzhu coordinated the overall picture. Work had someone to lend a hand; details had someone to flag them.

At the debrief, Zhu Yangzhu noted: "The value of teamwork lies in perspective-taking. Commands must be clear and easy to understand; ground-to-orbit communication requires mutual understanding; teammates must take on more responsibility for one another." The drills gave them a taste of real life in space, and in solving problems together they forged an unshakeable confidence and collective strength.

When asked about the physical and psychological challenges facing the crew member who will undergo a one-year on-orbit stay, Zhu Yangzhu was calm and composed. He views the 365 days as a "Space Long March," holding to the pragmatic attitude of "eat one bite at a time, walk one step at a time" — focusing on conducting each experiment with precision, performing each operation to standard, and caring for his crewmates' physical and mental wellbeing.

"There is no need to worry too far ahead — do each present thing to the utmost." This composure stems from Zhu Yangzhu's personal creed: a journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step. Years ago, climbing Mount Tai, he witnessed a septuagenarian with limited mobility reach the summit through sheer willpower. "In that moment I understood: no matter how lofty the goal, nothing surpasses steadfast, down-to-earth persistence. Focus on walking each step well, give your full effort, and persevere over time — you will reach your dream."

This expedition toward the vast river of stars will once again bear witness to the loyalty and glory of China's astronauts in the new era, pressing forward with courage and resolve.

Original Aspiration Firm as Rock, Reaching for the Sky

At the Wentian Pavilion of the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center, Zhang Zhiyuan — executing a crewed spaceflight mission for the first time — gazes with steady, resolute eyes that hold within them boundless longing for the vast sky.

In days past, he flew fighter jets over deserts and patrolled sea and sky; now, from an orbital track hundreds of kilometers above, he will gaze back with deep feeling at the place where his dreams took flight.

The Yellow River surges down from the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, tracing a magnificent "S"-shaped channel through Baiyin, Gansu, nourishing the fertile land on both banks. In the autumn of 1986, Zhang Zhiyuan was born in a small town on the banks of the Yellow River; his parents were teachers. His childhood memories hold both the play of ditches in the fields and the strictness of mandatory review of lessons after dinner.

To supplement the family's income, his father traveled back and forth between school, fields, and market before dawn and after dark, giving young Zhang Zhiyuan an early taste of life's hardships and shaping his character of industriousness and diligence. After school, he would often take the initiative to help his family, and studied all the harder.

At the National Day parade of 1999, a magnificent "eagle formation" swept over Tiananmen Square, and the image of pilots saluting from their cockpits was deeply imprinted on Zhang Zhiyuan's mind. In his final year of high school, an Air Force pilot recruitment poster ignited a flame in his heart: "I want to be a pilot too!"

Thanks to the strong physique built by running and swimming along the Yellow River, Zhang Zhiyuan passed the preliminary and secondary selections and was admitted to the Air Force Aviation University. Upon receiving his acceptance letter, he set off alone on an eastbound train. The surging Yellow River gradually faded from view; he could not have anticipated that this journey would carry him to heights never before reached, ultimately allowing him to gaze from space with deep feeling upon the beautiful rivers and mountains that raised him.

From flight cadet to pilot, the path was marked by brutal attrition. Before dawn broke, Zhang Zhiyuan was already on the parade ground doing extra long-distance running and upper-body strength training. In theoretical study, every formula, every principle, every set of data — he ground through them all and committed them to memory. Day after day, what sustained him was the firm conviction to fly into the blue sky.

Zhang Zhiyuan vividly remembers his first solo flight. The roar of the engine, the vast sky outside the canopy taking his breath away, and with it an unprecedented sense of control. Ten thousand meters above the earth, he glimpsed for the first time the grandeur of mountains and rivers — the romance and glory that belong to pilots.

After graduation, Zhang Zhiyuan flew to China's northwest, converting to new-model fighter aircraft, participating in exercises, and carrying out various missions, accumulating more than 1,200 flight hours and tempering himself into an eagle soaring over the snow-covered highlands. During one high-altitude transit mission, danger struck without warning: the rotational speed of one of the aircraft's engines suddenly dropped. Below was an unbroken range of snow-capped mountains; within hundreds of kilometers along the route there was no alternate airfield; the prospects for survival by ejection were slim.

"Even if there is only a one-percent chance, we must get the aircraft and its payload to the destination!" Zhang Zhiyuan and the front-seat pilot worked in seamless coordination, precisely calculating distance, altitude, airspeed, and fuel, skillfully using brief afterburner ignitions to gain altitude, and ultimately landing safely at the destination airfield.

After landing, the two men clasped hands tightly, conveying the flood of emotions that comes with surviving a brush with death. The cool-headed courage he demonstrated in successfully handling that emergency became the bedrock of resolve that would later launch Zhang Zhiyuan's astronaut career.

The road to space was far more arduous than imagined. In the third-cohort astronaut selection, from preliminary to secondary rounds, Zhang Zhiyuan cleared one hurdle after another — rigorous medical examinations, psychological tests, and in particular his first experience in the centrifuge: "an enormous pressure bearing down," the body instinctively resisting, the head shaking violently, while he still had to remain conscious and respond to questions…

After being selected into China's third cohort of astronauts, foundational theoretical study was yet another obstacle. Confronted with abstruse theories in aerodynamics, thermodynamics, and flight vehicle control, he crammed like a "transfer student" — asking instructors, asking teammates, consulting references — and finally cleared the theoretical hurdle. Immediately thereafter, a succession of high-difficulty training exercises continuously challenged his physical and psychological limits. But for Zhang Zhiyuan, the greatest challenge was not the hardship of training — it was being passed over multiple times in the rigorous crew selection process.

From the Shenzhou-16 crewed mission onward, Zhang Zhiyuan's cohort-mates had been realizing their dreams of reaching the sky one by one. "Looking back now, I didn't understand the patterns of crewed spaceflight missions deeply enough at the time." Zhang Zhiyuan understood that he had to break through the flight mindset formed over many years and reconstruct a rigorous, systematic, absolutely rational professional logic for spaceflight. "Like shedding a shell — painful, but only through this can one be reborn." He refined himself bit by bit, only to better integrate into the crewed spaceflight endeavor of "ten thousand people behind one rifle."

Entering the Astronaut Corps, the words "The interests of the motherland above all else" (祖国利益高于一切) are prominently displayed. The astronaut dormitory is built brick by red brick; Zhang Zhiyuan felt himself to be one such brick — on China's journey toward the cosmos, laying roads, building bridges, erecting ladders, with an ordinary body lifting up an extraordinary dream.

"As long as one has a dream and dares to persevere, even the most insignificant individual can create a miracle." Today, the child who once gazed up at the sky from the banks of the Yellow River is about to fly into the depths of the stars as a member of humanity's team exploring space, in pursuit of answers yet further away.

With spaceflight imminent, facing his children, Zhang Zhiyuan described the long space journey lightly as "a business trip away from home." This Shenzhou-23 crewed mission adds multiple new human science research projects. "We must leave behind invaluable physiological data on Chinese people in the space environment." He is determined to cooperate with every experiment rigorously and meticulously.

Zhang Zhiyuan harbors a gentle wish deep in his heart — to plant a sunflower in space, as a symbol of the power to forever follow the light. In his personal effects bag, he has carefully packed zodiac figurines of his family members; his family has also prepared several letters for him to open as "mystery box" surprises at specific moments in space. During the mission, he will also celebrate a birthday in space with special significance.

At this moment, Zhang Zhiyuan and his crewmates have entered the final preparation phase. For all procedures and emergency contingency plans, the crew has conducted hundreds upon thousands of repetitive drills, waiting only for the order to depart and fly to "Tiangong."

The Bauhinia Blooms, Illuminating the River of Stars

When the Shenzhou-23 crewed mission crew made its official appearance at the Wentian Pavilion, among the three astronauts, the sole female member, Li Jiaying, became the center of attention — she is the first astronaut from Hong Kong.

A delicate appearance, a warm smile, and approachable words — these are the first impressions Li Jiaying makes. Having grown up in Hong Kong, she was admitted to the University of Hong Kong's computer science program on the strength of outstanding grades, going on to earn a doctoral degree.

In 2012, Li Jiaying turned down lucrative career opportunities elsewhere and joined the Technical Services Division of the Hong Kong Police Force. Drawing on top-tier professional capability and solid knowledge, she quickly became a core member of the division, specializing in digital forensics and cybersecurity, using technology as a shield to quietly safeguard the peace of the city.

"The experience in the police force tempered my will and cultivated in me the qualities of perseverance, fearlessness in the face of difficulty, and careful precision." Li Jiaying acknowledged that this experience laid a solid foundation for her becoming a qualified astronaut.

In 2022, China launched its fourth astronaut selection, and for the first time selected payload specialists from Hong Kong and Macao. Carrying her aspiration for the space program and her wish to contribute to the motherland, Li Jiaying resolutely applied.

In June 2024, the selection results were announced: Li Jiaying stood out from 120 applicants from the Hong Kong region, becoming the only payload specialist selected from Hong Kong, and entered the China Astronaut Research and Training Center for comprehensive and systematic training. "When I learned I had been selected, I was extremely excited and happy — I almost couldn't believe it," she said with emotion. "I am grateful for the country's support in giving me the opportunity to participate in such a sacred and glorious mission."

In August of the same year, Li Jiaying joined the Astronaut Corps together with the other nine astronauts of the fourth cohort. She solemnly put away the bauhinia badge of the Hong Kong Police Force and put on the blue mission patch of a Chinese astronaut. From police badge to astronaut patch, every step she has taken has been on a journey of "unity of home and nation" (家国同心).

When she first joined the corps, Li Jiaying's Mandarin spoken with a Hong Kong accent at times caused communication difficulties. With the accompaniment of teachers and teammates, she studied and practiced diligently, improving day by day, and in the collective felt a warmth like that of family. From entering the Astronaut Corps to being selected for the Shenzhou-23 crew, she took only a little over a year — the shortest period in history — yet the training standards and assessment requirements were not lowered by a single degree. This meant she had to endure higher-intensity, overloaded training within a limited timeframe.

A massive volume of theoretical study, various specialized practical exercises, and full-process mission training arrived one after another, with high difficulty and high density layered upon each other, constituting an unprecedented and severe challenge.

The astronaut corps has always emphasized "veterans leading newcomers" (以老带新); experienced astronauts, amid their own busy training schedules, guided Li Jiaying attentively and shared everything they knew. One experienced astronaut accompanied her for extra practice connecting spacecraft pipelines, teaching techniques hands-on, helping her grasp the need to "apply deft force" rather than "rely on brute strength."

Seventy-two hours of sleep deprivation, six days and five nights of survival in a dark cave, jungle traversal, desert extreme survival… field training under multiple conditions — each one a dual extreme test of physiology and psychology. Li Jiaying consistently met these challenges with optimism and resilience: "No matter how difficult something is, it will 'reach its end.' I have always believed that happiness is not just a mood — it is a choice." She regards the Lion Rock spirit (狮子山精神) of self-reliance in adversity and never giving up as a belief that resonates with the spirit of crewed spaceflight.

Looking back to the starting point of her dream of spaceflight, Li Jiaying clearly remembers the moment of excitement in 2003 when she and her parents watched together as China's first astronaut, Yang Liwei, made his historic flight. Her father, whose ancestral home is in Shunde, Guangdong, once relayed to her the heartfelt words of an elderly overseas Chinese: "However high the Chinese spacecraft flies, that is how high overseas Chinese and compatriots abroad will hold their heads." The tears brimming in her father's eyes were deeply imprinted on her heart. During her training at the Astronaut Corps, she had the privilege of hearing Yang Liwei recount this story in person, and was once again profoundly moved.

From looking up at a television screen, to being selected into the fourth cohort of astronauts, to departing for space — the leap being made is not Li Jiaying's alone… "It is precisely because of the quiet dedication of generation after generation that the nation's space program has grown ever stronger. I am only one representative; toward the many unsung heroes, I hold reverence and gratitude." She said this with deep feeling.

During her six months on orbit, Li Jiaying will be primarily responsible for space science experiments and related tasks. After long and solid training, she is full of confidence. The full-mission flight procedure simulation exercise, in which the crew worked in seamless coordination, gave her even greater assurance. She said calmly and firmly: "I want to complete the mission as well as I possibly can. On the safety side there are double and triple redundancies; I am confident in one hundred percent safety." This composure stems from absolute trust in the nation's crewed spaceflight program.

As the mother of three children, family is Li Jiaying's deepest attachment. The intensive training schedule has meant that time to spend a day's weekend with her family comes only rarely. For this spaceflight, she will bring along drawings made by her children and her husband, so that her family's companionship surrounds her.

Looking ahead to the space journey, Li Jiaying is full of anticipation: experiencing weightlessness and sharing it with her children; looking down at the Earth from space, photographing Hong Kong from a space perspective… As the first astronaut from Hong Kong, spaceflight for her is not only the realization of a personal dream, but also a vivid testament to Hong Kong and the motherland moving forward with one heart and one direction. She once told Hong Kong's young people: "The space station is very far from us, but China's space program and the dream of spaceflight are not far from us at all."

When the bauhinia blooms again in full splendor, Li Jiaying will return from space, carrying stardust and glory, back to this land she deeply loves. "Hong Kong has always shared the same fate as the motherland, bound together by blood. As long as we hold our homeland and nation in our hearts, love life, persist in doing our best, and together contribute our wisdom and strength to Hong Kong and to the country, every person can radiate their own brilliance! The motherland has always been supporting us," she said.

指令长朱杨柱—— 再征太空勇前行 ■解放军报记者 程 雪 特约记者 占 康 首次由第三批航天员担任指令长、乘组中将有一名航天员首次执行一年期在轨驻留任务……我国首位飞天的航天飞行工程师朱杨柱,即将以神舟二十三号乘组指令长的身份,再征太空。 “接到任命时虽感意外,但更多的是笃定。”面对记者,朱杨柱眼神坚定。多重“首次”叠加,对乘组身心素质、协同配合、应急处置及长期在轨能力提出了前所未有的考验。 这份底气,源于日复一日的严苛训练,源于朱杨柱参加神舟十六号载人飞行任务期间的实战积累,更源于从前辈航天员身上传承的宝贵经验与卓越品质。“只有全面过硬,才能从容应对。”在乘组首次碰头会上,他写下目标:“开心生活、高效工作,实现零失误、零差错。” 朱杨柱的飞天梦想,始于少年时期。1998年11月,狮子座流星雨爆发。凌晨的苏北平原,12岁的朱杨柱仰望苍穹,漫天流星的壮丽景象,将向往星空的种子深埋少年心中。 从此,“飞天”成为朱杨柱人生轨迹的关键词。高考后,他的唯一志愿是国防科技大学飞行器系统与工程专业;十年求学路,他在空气动力学和流体力学的世界里精耕细作。 我国第三批航天员选拔开始时,已是航天工程大学副教授的朱杨柱,毫不犹豫报名。历经层层选拔,2020年9月,他正式入选我国第三批航天员。 梦想开花,总需艰辛付出。朱杨柱的飞天之路,恰如他的自喻“北极灯蛾”——在漫长“寒冬”中积蓄能量,只为最终破茧。 水下出舱训练,要求穿着厚重航天服,将脚精准卡进限位器仅2厘米宽的卡槽。朱杨柱反复琢磨,依靠肌肉记忆和视觉反馈,最终攻克难关。 2025年12月,朱杨柱参加我国首次航天员洞穴训练,在平均温度8摄氏度、湿度99%的洞穴中驻留6天5夜,挑战极窄通道穿行、断崖攀爬、湿冷侵袭、体能极限及黑暗恐惧、感知剥夺等心理压力。 为锤炼心理,朱杨柱提议队友短暂关闭头灯,体验“像极了太空出舱”的无边黑暗。他负责物资统筹与实验,与队友分工不分家,相互支援。训练结束,他感慨:“洞穴与太空环境相似,都考验心理韧性与团队协作。一个人跑得快不算成功,全队平安圆满才是真正胜利。” 朱杨柱一直珍藏着自己参加神舟十六号载人飞行任务时佩戴的臂章。2023年7月20日,经过约8小时出舱活动,朱杨柱成为中国首位开展出舱活动的航天飞行工程师。 深邃太空中,他动作精准、从容稳健。俯瞰地球,朵朵白云、清晰的大陆轮廓、黄河入海口……祖国壮美河山具象呈现。“感谢伟大的祖国托举我们实现飞天梦想。”回忆那一刻,他仍难掩激动。 “从太空归来不是终点,而是新的起点。”荣誉面前,朱杨柱迅速归零,全力备战下一次任务。 神舟二十三号乘组是由航天驾驶员、航天飞行工程师、载荷专家构成的组合。航天驾驶员张志远“沉稳内敛、踏实勤恳”;载荷专家黎家盈“细心乐观、聪慧坚韧”。三人年龄相仿、性格相近,拥有“温和而坚定”的共性:相互支持,让空间站成“太空之家”;坚定执着,对标准绝不妥协。 作为指令长,朱杨柱深知团队是制胜关键。他总结出2个公式:“1+1+1=1” 和 “1+1+1>3”。前者代表思想同心、目标同向,把不同批次、背景的力量拧成一股绳。后者意味着能力互补、优势叠加,让整体力量远超个体之和。 为锻造过硬乘组,朱杨柱倾注大量心血。针对黎家盈训练周期短的情况,他结合自身经验细致讲解,要求“再练一遍”,确保操作扎实。他强调:“训练不仅要练操作,更要懂原理、知逻辑、会应变。唯有举一反三,才能应对太空未知挑战。” 今年初,乘组进行为期两周的全任务飞行程序模拟训练,在一比一的三舱两船空间站组合体实验舱内,完全按照太空工作节奏进行全封闭演练。黎家盈管理物资、记录实验;张志远专注平台维护;朱杨柱统筹全局。工作有人搭手,细节有人提醒。 朱杨柱在复盘会上指出:“团队协作贵在换位思考。指令要清晰易懂;天地沟通要相互体谅;队友间要多担当。”演练让他们体验了真实的太空生活,更在解决问题中凝聚起无坚不摧的信心与合力。 谈及乘组中有人要面临一年期在轨驻留的身心挑战,朱杨柱从容淡定。他将365天视为一场“太空长征”,秉持“饭要一口口吃,路要一步步走”的务实态度,专注把每次实验做精准、每次操作做规范,照料好队友身心。 “不必思虑过远,把当下每件事做到极致。”这份从容,源于朱杨柱的人生信条——千里之行,始于足下。多年前爬泰山,他曾目睹一位腿脚不便的七旬老人,凭借毅力登顶。“那一刻我明白,再远大的目标,也抵不过脚踏实地的坚持。专注走好脚下每一步,全力以赴、久久为功,终将抵达梦想。” 这场向着浩瀚星河的远征,将再一次印证新时代中国航天人勇毅前行的忠诚与荣光。 在酒泉卫星发射中心问天阁,首次执行载人飞行任务的航天员张志远,目光沉稳坚毅,蕴藏着对浩瀚苍穹的无限向往。 昔日,他曾驾驶战机飞越沙漠、巡弋海天;如今,他将从数百公里高的太空轨道,深情回望梦想启航的地方。 黄河自青藏高原奔涌而下,在甘肃白银勾勒出壮美的“S”形河道,滋养两岸沃土。1986年秋,张志远出生在黄河岸边的一个小镇,父母是老师。他的童年记忆里,既有田间水沟的嬉闹,也有晚饭后必须温习功课的严格。 为补贴家用,父亲披星戴月往返于学校、田地与集市,让年少的张志远早早体味生活的不易,也塑造了他吃苦耐劳、勤奋上进的品格。放学后,他常常主动给家人帮忙,学习也更加刻苦。 1999年国庆阅兵,雄壮“鹰阵”掠过天安门广场上空,飞行员在战机座舱中敬礼的英姿深深印刻在张志远脑海。高三那年,空军的招飞海报点燃了他心中的火焰:“我也要当飞行员!” 得益于黄河边奔跑、凫水打下的良好体魄,张志远顺利通过初选、复选,考入空军航空大学。收到录取通知书,他便独自踏上东去的列车。奔涌的黄河渐渐淡出视线,他未曾预料,此番远行将让他飞抵前所未有的高度,最终得以从太空深情凝望这片生养他的锦绣山河。 从飞行学员到飞行员,贯穿着残酷的淘汰。天未破晓,张志远已奔向操场加练长跑和上肢力量。理论学习中,每一条公式、每一项原理、每一组数据,他都咬牙攻坚,熟记于心。日复一日,支撑他的是飞上蓝天的坚定信念。 张志远对自己首次单飞的场景记忆犹新。引擎轰鸣,舷窗外辽阔天空令人屏息,也为他带来前所未有的掌控感。万米高空之上,他第一次领略山川壮美,那是属于飞行员的浪漫与荣光。 毕业后,张志远飞赴祖国西北,改装新型战机、参加演练,遂行各种任务,累计飞行超过1200小时,淬炼成翱翔雪域的雄鹰。一次高原转场任务中,险情突至:战机一台发动机转速骤然下降!脚下是连绵雪山,航线周围数百公里无备降场,跳伞生存的希望渺茫。 “哪怕只有百分之一的可能,也要把飞机和挂载带到目的地!”张志远与前舱飞行员默契配合,精确计算距离、高度、速度、航油,巧妙运用短时开启加力争取高度的方法,最终平安降落在目标机场。 落地后,两人紧握的双手传递着劫后重生的百感交集。这次成功处置特情的冷静果敢,成为张志远日后开启航天员生涯的坚毅底色。 通往太空之路,远比想象艰辛。第三批航天员选拔中,从初选到复选,张志远闯过一关又一关——严谨的医学检查、心理测验,特别是离心机初体验,“巨大的压力扑面而来”,身体本能对抗,头剧烈摆动,而他还必须保持清醒应答…… 入选为我国第三批航天员后,基础理论学习是又一难关。面对空气动力学、热力学、飞行器控制等深奥理论,他像“插班生”般恶补,问教员、问队友、查资料,终于攻克了理论关。随即,种种高难度训练不断挑战生理心理极限。但对张志远而言,最大的挑战并非训练的艰苦,而是在严苛的乘组选拔中数次落选。 自神舟十六号载人飞行任务起,张志远的同批队友已经陆续圆梦苍穹。“今天看,当时自己对载人航天任务规律理解还不够深。”张志远明白,他必须打破多年形成的飞行思维,重构严谨、系统、绝对理性的航天专业逻辑。“如同蜕壳,痛苦,但唯有如此,才能获得新生。”他一点点打磨自己,只为更好地融入“万人一杆枪”的载人航天事业。 走进航天员大队,“祖国利益高于一切”几个大字赫然在目。航天员公寓由一块块红砖垒筑而成,张志远觉得自己正如其中一块——在中国人迈向宇宙的征途里,筑路、架桥、搭梯,以平凡之躯,托举不凡梦想。 “只要有梦想,敢坚持,再渺小的个体也能创造奇迹。”如今,那个在黄河岸边仰望天空的孩童,即将作为人类探索太空队伍的一员,飞向星海深处,追寻更远的答案。 飞天在即,面对孩子们,张志远将漫长的太空征程轻描淡写为“外地出差”。此次神舟二十三号载人飞行任务新增多项人体科学研究项目。“要留下中国人在太空环境下的宝贵生理数据。”他决心严谨细致地配合每一项实验。 张志远心底藏着一个温柔愿望——在太空种下一株向日葵,象征永远追随光明的力量。他的个人物品包里,珍藏着家人生肖玩偶;家人也精心准备了几封信,让他在太空特定时刻开启“盲盒”惊喜。任务期间,他还将在太空度过一个别具意义的生日。 此刻,张志远与队友已进入最后准备期。针对所有流程和应急预案,乘组进行了成百上千次重复演练,只待出征号令,飞向“天宫”。 神舟二十三号载人飞行乘组在问天阁正式亮相之际,3位航天员中,唯一的女性成员黎家盈成为焦点——她是首位来自香港的航天员。 清秀的容貌、温暖的笑容、亲和的话语,是黎家盈给人的第一印象。从小在香港长大的她,以优异成绩考入香港大学计算机科学专业,一路攻读至博士。 2012年,黎家盈放弃外界优渥的职业选择,加入香港警队技术服务部。凭借顶尖的专业能力和扎实学识,她迅速成为该部核心成员,专研电子取证、网络安全,以科技为盾,默默守护城市安宁。 “警队的经历磨砺了我的意志,培养了我坚持不懈、不惧困难、细心谨慎的品质。”黎家盈坦言,这段经历为她成为一名合格的航天员奠定了坚实基础。 2022年,我国开启第四批航天员选拔工作,并首次在港澳地区选拔载荷专家。怀揣对航天事业的向往和为祖国贡献力量的愿望,黎家盈毅然报名。 2024年6月,选拔结果揭晓:黎家盈从香港地区120名报名者中脱颖而出,成为唯一入选的香港地区载荷专家,进入中国航天员科研训练中心接受全面系统训练。“得知入选时,我非常兴奋和开心,甚至有点不敢相信。”她动情地说,“感谢国家的支持,让我有机会参与这样神圣而光荣的任务。” 同年8月,黎家盈与第四批其他9名航天员一同来到航天员大队。她郑重收起香港警队的紫荆徽章,换上了中国航天员的蓝色臂章。从警徽到航天臂章,她的每一步都踏在“家国同心”的征程上。 刚入队时,黎家盈带着港式口音的普通话一度导致交流不畅。在老师、队友的陪伴下,她勤学苦练,日有所进,更在集体中感受到家一般的温暖。从进入航天员大队到入选神舟二十三号乘组,她仅用一年多时间,周期为史上最短,但训练标准、考核要求丝毫未降。这意味着,她要在有限时间内承受更高强度的超负荷训练。 海量理论学习、各类专项实操、全流程任务训练接踵而至,高难度与高密度层层叠加,构成前所未有的严苛挑战。 航天员队伍一向注重“以老带新”,经验丰富的航天员在繁忙的训练之余,对黎家盈悉心指导、倾囊相授。一名经验丰富的航天员陪她加练连接飞船管路,手把手传授技巧,使她领悟到要“巧劲发力”而非“靠蛮力硬撑”。 72小时睡眠剥夺、幽暗洞穴生存6天5夜、丛林穿越、沙漠极限生存……多种条件下的野外训练,每一项都是生理与心理的双重极限考验。黎家盈总能以乐观坚韧面对:“再艰难的事情,也是会‘到点’的。我始终相信,快乐不仅是一种心情,更是一种选择。”她将逆境自强、永不言弃的狮子山精神,视为与载人航天精神相通的信念支撑。 回望飞天梦想的起点,黎家盈清晰记得2003年与父母共同关注我国首位航天员杨利伟飞天壮举的激动时刻。父亲祖籍广东顺德,曾向她转述一位老华侨的肺腑之言:“中国人的飞船飞多高,海外华人华侨的头就会抬多高。”父亲眼中饱含的热泪,深深印在她心里。在航天员大队受训期间,她有幸亲耳聆听杨利伟讲述这段往事,内心再次受到强烈震撼。 从电视机前的仰望,到入选第四批航天员,再到出征太空,实现跨越的不仅是黎家盈一个人……“正是一代代人的默默付出,国家航天事业才越来越强大。我只是代表之一,对更多无名英雄,我心怀敬畏和感激。”她深情地说。 在轨半年,黎家盈主要负责空间科学实验等任务。经过长期扎实训练,她充满信心。全任务飞行程序模拟训练,乘组配合默契,更让她底气十足。她平静而坚定地说:“我想尽可能把任务完成好。安全方面有双保险、三保险,我相信百分百安全。”这份平静,源于对祖国载人航天工程的绝对信任。 作为3个孩子的母亲,家庭是黎家盈最深的牵挂。密集的训练日程,让她许久才能与家人共度一天周末。这次飞天,她将带上孩子们和爱人亲手绘制的画作,让家人的陪伴环绕身边。 展望太空之旅,黎家盈充满期待:体验失重生活,与孩子们分享;从太空俯瞰地球,拍摄太空视角的香港……作为首位来自香港的航天员,飞天于她,不仅是个人梦想的实现,更是香港与祖国同心同向的生动见证。她曾对香港青年说:“空间站距离我们很远,但中国航天事业、航天梦想距离我们并不遥远。”
