Xinhua News Agency, Wuhan, August 24 (Gao Yujiao, Li Dongdong) — The closing ceremony for the China-Belarus "Divine Eagle-2026" airborne joint training was held on August 24 at an Air Force training center in China.
Since its commencement on August 12, the joint training was organized and conducted in three phases — basic intensive training, coordinated precision training, and comprehensive exercises. The two sides adopted a mixed-formation model and, with joint urban counterterrorism operations as the subject, jointly completed drills in reconnaissance and counter-reconnaissance, seizure and defense, clearing operations and consolidation, and other subjects in close alignment with realistic combat scenarios, effectively testing both militaries' capabilities in coordinated command and joint counterterrorism operations.
During the joint training, the Chinese and Belarusian sides also carried out thematic seminars, sports competitions, cultural exchange activities, and other events, drawing on each other's concepts for organizing training and methods for troop training, deepening camaraderie among officers and soldiers, and building consensus on cooperation.
It is reported that this is the fourth time China and Belarus have held the "Divine Eagle" series of joint training exercises. The "Divine Eagle" series has become an important platform for joint counterterrorism efforts between the two militaries and holds significant importance for deepening practical cooperation between the two militaries and jointly maintaining regional peace and stability.
