UNMISS Force Commander Major General Wu Junhui presented Force Commander's Commendations to 31 members of the 12th Chinese Peacekeeping Infantry Battalion to South Sudan (Juba) at a ceremony in Juba on or around August 17; the battalion is drawn primarily from a brigade of the 82nd Group Army and has completed over 90 mandated tasks — joint patrols and armed escorts — across more than 10,000 cumulative kilometers. This is a standard end-of-rotation recognition report; it documents the 82nd Group Army's continued rotation into UNMISS and provides a baseline record of the battalion's operational tempo, but does not indicate any change in China's peacekeeping posture or force contribution level.
