Deeply studying the mechanisms of combat (作战机理) to solve real-combat problems. A unit of the Naval Aviation University conducted solid nighttime land-based flight training focused on the challenges of restricted visibility and multiplied risks during maritime night navigation, rigorously examined critical emergency procedures, carried out simulation training with precision and thoroughness, and through focused and refined practice addressed shortfalls and built a solid capability foundation for officers and soldiers. A shore-based missile regiment of the Northern Theater Command Navy organized training targeting the difficulties of operating under low-light conditions; vehicle formations conducted covert maneuvers using faint cold-light lamps, and launch procedures were optimized. A Rocket Force unit systematically reviewed shortfalls and weaknesses from nighttime training in previous years, refined task lists and key difficult subjects, compiled a summary of error-prone operational points, and resolved them item by item, breaking through them one by one.
Relying on science and technology enablement (科技赋能) to accelerate combat power generation (战斗力生成). An Army brigade used war-gaming (兵棋推演) and simulation training to pre-set the various situations that may arise in nighttime combat, adding dozens of nighttime training condition variables. A Rocket Force brigade focused on the difficulties of nighttime driving of special equipment vehicles, innovated nighttime positioning and auxiliary illumination devices, and further improved the efficiency of nighttime vehicle sortie operations. The Mobile Detachment of the People's Armed Police Guangxi General Corps deeply integrated unmanned equipment into nighttime training: on the training ground, reconnaissance UAVs were the first to take to the air, rapidly locking onto target concealment positions using infrared thermal imaging equipment; robot dogs conducted close-in reconnaissance and transmitted situational data back in real time, markedly improving nighttime combat effectiveness.
Units closely aligned with real-combat requirements and consistently integrated random exercise control (随机导调) throughout the entire nighttime training process, tempering the ability to fight and win through unannounced, unscripted adversarial confrontations. A brigade of the 82nd Group Army organized officers and soldiers to maneuver to unfamiliar terrain under conditions of darkness, with special situations (特情) added on the spot, conducting autonomous confrontation centered on reconnaissance and counter-reconnaissance, infiltration and counter-infiltration. A Rocket Force unit conducted a cross-regional maneuver of one hundred kilometers, during which continuous ad hoc exercise control and a succession of special situations arose; officers and soldiers responded to each challenge as it came, coordinating closely, and comprehensively tempered their command coordination and emergency response capabilities.
In recent days, multiple units have been steeling and tempering themselves (加钢淬火) through combat-realistic training, continuously consolidating the fundamentals of night combat, innovating tactics and training methods (战法训法), and steadily improving their capability to execute missions across all time periods, all terrain, and all weather conditions.
