PLA Daily, Surabaya, Indonesia, August 6 — Reported by Zhang Wanying and correspondent Zhang Dan: On the morning of the 6th, the Chinese Navy's Vessel-83 formation departed Tanjung Perak Port in Surabaya, Indonesia, successfully concluding a four-day goodwill visit and continuing its far-seas comprehensive training and visit mission (远海综合实习访问任务).

Staff from the Chinese Consulate General in Surabaya, representatives of local overseas Chinese, Chinese-funded institutions, and international students, as well as representatives of Indonesian Navy officers and soldiers, came to the pier to see the formation off. The formation's trainee students lined up by section on deck to salute the crowd gathered to bid them farewell.

During the visit to Indonesia, the formation's commander called on Indonesian military and government leaders. The two sides also organized ship mutual visits, symposiums, and exchange activities.
