On July 29, the Fujian Coast Guard conducted what its spokesperson Zhu Anqing described as routine law enforcement patrols near Kinmen, with the East China Sea Branch noting that vessel formations have maintained continuous presence in the Xiamen-Kinmen (厦金) waters throughout July. The framing—emphasizing protection of fishermen 'on both sides of the strait' and 'normal navigation order'—positions the patrols as administrative normalcy rather than pressure, which fits the pattern of incremental jurisdictional assertion around Kinmen that accelerated after the February 2024 speedboat incident. What remains unknown is the number and class of vessels involved in the July formations.

Zhu Anqing, spokesperson for the East China Sea Branch of the China Coast Guard, stated that on July 29, the Fujian Coast Guard conducted routine law enforcement patrols in waters near Kinmen in accordance with the law. Since July, the Fujian Coast Guard has organized vessel formations to continuously strengthen control over the relevant waters, effectively safeguarding the lawful and legitimate rights and interests as well as the lives and property of fishermen on both sides of the strait, and powerfully ensuring the normal navigation and operational order in the Xiamen-Kinmen (厦金) waters.
