PLA Daily, Guangzhou, July 26 — Reported by correspondents Guo Shudong and Yang Xiaomin: Affected by Typhoon No. 12 "Hongxia," Guangdong experienced heavy rainfall and strong winds on July 26, with road closures and trapped personnel reported in multiple locations. PLA and People's Armed Police (PAP) officers and soldiers, along with militia forces, moved upon order and rapidly mobilized for relief operations.

In Huidong County, Shanwei Honghai Bay Economic Development Zone, Shenzhen-Shanwei Special Cooperation Zone, and other areas, fallen trees and waterlogged roads caused traffic disruptions. The PAP Huizhou Detachment, Shanwei Detachment, and Shenzhen No. 1 Detachment dispatched more than 200 officers and soldiers to conduct obstacle-clearing operations and help the public restore normal production and daily life. Portions of Jieyang City and Shaoguan City experienced flooding; the PAP Jieyang Detachment and Shaoguan Detachment deployed more than 100 officers and soldiers, equipped with assault boats and other equipment, to the scene to assist in evacuating residents.

PLA Daily, Lanzhou, July 26 — Reported by correspondents Wu Shitao and Yang Mingyue: On the afternoon of July 26, the Shuangshimen Scenic Area in Weiyuan County, Dingxi City, Gansu Province was struck by a flash flood disaster caused by a short-duration intense rainfall event, resulting in casualties. Upon receiving the emergency report, the Dingxi Military Sub-district and the Weiyuan County People's Armed Forces Department urgently dispatched militia forces to rush to the scene for emergency rescue operations.

As of 1800 hours that day, the disaster had caused 10 deaths and 23 injuries. Relevant rescue forces are continuing to carry out hazard assessment, road dredging and clearing, and resident evacuation operations.
