PLA Daily, Qingdao, July 13 — Reporters Zhang Lin and Zhang Junsheng report: On the morning of July 13, the China-Russia "Joint Sea-2026" joint exercise concluded at a military port in Qingdao, Shandong.
The China-Russia "Joint Sea-2026" joint exercise took "jointly responding to maritime security threats" as its subject. During the port and shore planning phase, both sides conducted map exercises, professional seminars, ship visits, a basketball friendship match, a reception, and other exchange activities. After transitioning to the at-sea exercise phase, the participating forces of both sides coordinated closely and worked in seamless cooperation, jointly completing live-force drills in multiple subjects including joint reconnaissance, air defense and anti-missile operations, strikes against surface targets, and joint submarine rescue operations.
This joint exercise enhanced the strategic mutual trust and level of cooperation between the Chinese and Russian navies, and advanced the deepening and substantive development of practical cooperation between the two sides. Since 2012, the "Joint Sea" series of exercises has become an important platform for the two countries' navies to deepen cooperation and pursue development together, and holds important practical significance for maintaining regional peace and stability.
