Xinhua News Agency, Beijing, July 2 — On the occasion of celebrating the 105th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China, in order to commend the advanced, set examples, and inspire Party organizations at all levels and the broad membership to remain forever loyal to the Party, resolutely strive to strengthen the military, and permanently preserve their political character (永葆政治本色), the Central Military Commission (CMC) issued a circular commending a group of outstanding Communist Party members, outstanding Party affairs workers, and advanced grassroots Party organizations across the armed forces (see the Roll of Honor for the list).

The circular noted that this year marks the 105th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China, and the people's army founded and led by the Party is about to complete one hundred years of struggle. Party organizations at all levels across the armed forces and the broad Party membership have played an important role in practicing the Party's founding mission and effectively fulfilling the mission tasks entrusted by the Party and the people, fully demonstrating the unique political advantages of our military. On the new journey of the new era, all levels across the armed forces have adhered to the guidance of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, thoroughly implemented Xi Jinping's Thought on Strengthening the Military (习近平强军思想), carried out the general requirements for Party building in the new era, upheld the Party's absolute leadership over the military, persisted in comprehensively and strictly governing the Party and comprehensively and strictly governing the military, adhered to building the military through political work (政治建军) and advanced political rectification training (政治整训), maintained a focus on preparing for war and fighting, and established and practiced a correct view of political performance (正确政绩观).
