On June 29, five PLA overseas peacekeeping units — the 24th contingent's Chinese battalion in southern Lebanon, the 3rd quick-reaction detachment and 6th helicopter detachment in Abyei, the 12th infantry battalion in South Sudan (Juba), and the 16th engineer detachment in South Sudan (Wau) — held Party anniversary ceremonies including oath renewals, Party history classes, and a badge-pinning ceremony for new members. This is standard political work content coordinated across deployed units for the Party's founding anniversary; its value is as a record of how the PLA frames loyalty and combat readiness to personnel serving under UN mandates, not as evidence of a new policy or operational posture. The 6th helicopter detachment's Party committee call to establish a "Party member assault flight crew" for rainy-season operations is the one operationally specific detail, though the article does not indicate whether such a crew was actually formed.

PLA Daily, Beijing, June 29 — On the occasion of the 105th anniversary of the founding of the Chinese Communist Party, officers and soldiers of multiple overseas peacekeeping units held activities in their respective mission areas to revisit their founding aspirations and mission, and to express their steadfast resolve to follow the Party's command and fulfill their mission.

At local time on June 29, in southern Lebanon, inside the Chinese battalion of our 24th peacekeeping contingent to Lebanon, the five-starred red flag rose slowly to the solemn strains of the national anthem. Officers and soldiers stood at attention with heads held high, saluting in silence. After the flag-raising ceremony, Party members faced the bright red Party flag and renewed their oath of Party membership. "I volunteer to join the Chinese Communist Party…" — the oath resounded throughout the peacekeeping camp.

In distant Abyei, our 3rd peacekeeping quick-reaction detachment held themed Party classes, Party history story-sharing sessions, and other activities to mark the Party's birthday. On June 28, the quick-reaction detachment's leadership delivered a lecture titled "Strengthen Faith and Conviction, Forge Absolute Loyalty," inspiring officers and soldiers to render meritorious service on the peacekeeping battlefield. Officers and soldiers were filled with fighting spirit, vowing to deliver a qualified answer sheet through concrete action.

Our 6th peacekeeping helicopter detachment to Abyei held a themed Party Day activity on the flight apron. All Party members renewed their oath of Party membership. New Party member Zhang Tao solemnly swore before the Party flag: "It is an incomparable honor to join the Party at a peacekeeping post. I will do everything in my power to fulfill my mission." Aviation maintenance backbone Wu Jun stated that his Party membership motivates him to pursue excellence and ensure the combat aircraft are ready to take off at any moment. The detachment's Party committee called for the establishment of a Party member assault flight crew to bravely take on urgent, difficult, dangerous, and arduous tasks in rainy-season conditions, strictly observe discipline, and demonstrate the image of a force for peace. At the close of the activity, Party members solemnly signed their names before the Party flag as a pledge of their commitment.

In the South Sudan (Juba) mission area, our 12th peacekeeping infantry battalion also held a themed Party Day activity. During the ceremony to renew the oath of Party membership, veteran Party members pinned Party member badges on new Party members; through Party history study, red-themed film screenings, and sharing of founding aspirations, officers and soldiers further consolidated the will and strength to fulfill their peacekeeping mission.

In the South Sudan (Wau) mission area, our 16th peacekeeping engineer detachment held an oath-taking ceremony before the Party flag. Officers and soldiers expressed that they would inscribe their absolute loyalty to the Party onto every blue-helmet post.

From Lebanon to South Sudan, from Abyei to Wau, all peacekeeping officers and soldiers expressed a shared sentiment during the activities: they will keep the string of combat readiness taut at all times, hold fast to their posts and duties, complete every peacekeeping task to the highest standard, and prove worthy of the trust placed in them by the motherland and the people.
