Chinese Navy Flotilla 83 Concludes Friendly Visit to Russia
Xinhua News Agency, Vladivostok, June 27 (Reporter Sun Ping) — Chinese Navy Flotilla 83 concluded its friendly visit to Russia on the 27th, departing Vladivostok Port that day to continue its far-seas comprehensive training and visit mission.
On the morning of the 27th local time, the Russian side held a send-off ceremony at the Vladivostok Port pier. Staff from the Chinese Consulate General in Vladivostok, representatives of local overseas Chinese, representatives of Chinese-funded institutions, student representatives, and Russian Navy officers and sailors came to the pier to see the flotilla off.
Chinese Navy Flotilla 83 is composed of the Qi Jiguang and the Kunlunshan. During the visit, the flotilla commander and his delegation called on the heads of Russian naval academies and officials of the Vladivostok municipal government. Representative officers and sailors from the flotilla visited Russian Navy vessels and the Vladivostok branch of the Nakhimov Naval School and other locations for professional exchanges, and held a friendly football match with the Russian side.
