Xinhua, Vladivostok, June 23 (Reporter Sun Ping) — Chinese Navy Task Force 83, currently executing a distant-seas training and visit mission (远海实习访问任务), arrived at the port of Vladivostok, Russia on the 23rd, beginning a four-day friendly visit to Russia.
On the morning of the 23rd local time, the Chinese Navy ships Qi Jiguang and Kunlunshan arrived at the port of Vladivostok. More than 200 people came to the pier to welcome them, including staff from the Chinese Consulate General in Vladivostok, representatives of local overseas Chinese, representatives of Chinese students studying abroad, and representatives of officers and soldiers of the Russian Navy's Pacific Fleet. Cadets from the PLA Naval University of Engineering and the Naval Submarine Academy lined up by sections on the deck to greet the welcoming crowd.
