PAP Yunnan Corps Hospital Carries Out 'Yunling Health Delivery, Warming Soldiers' Hearts' Activity
Recently, the People's Armed Police Yunnan Corps Hospital, in conjunction with the Yunnan Provincial Double Support Office (双拥办), jointly carried out the 'Yunling Health Delivery, Warming Soldiers' Hearts' activity. The PAP Yunnan Corps Hospital carefully selected 22 expert backbone personnel to form a medical team, delivering one-stop medical services—including health checkups, circuit medical consultations, and psychological counseling—directly to frontline troops and military dependents, using concrete action to advance the 'Eight-Thousand-Li Border Defense Line Military Support and Preferential Treatment' (八千里边防线拥军优属) special initiative in depth and substance.
At the circuit consultation sites, the medical team's experts used plain and accessible language to disseminate health knowledge covering the prevention of common plateau diseases, physical and mental protection during garrison training, prevention and treatment of everyday injuries and illnesses, and field self-rescue and mutual rescue. Medical personnel examined each officer and soldier individually, inquired about medical histories, and established personal health records. They conducted specialized screening and risk assessments focused in particular on plateau maladaptation, training injuries, and chronic strain conditions, providing on-site scientific treatment plans and rehabilitation recommendations, earning unanimous praise from officers and soldiers.

At the same time, the warmth of the compassionate free clinic also reached the hearts of veterans, military dependents, and families of martyrs. A health science popularization zone was established at the activity site, where the medical team not only provided free blood pressure and blood glucose measurements, ultrasound and electrocardiogram examinations, and chronic disease health guidance, but also distributed promotional materials, with a focus on disseminating knowledge about disease prevention, rational diet, and safe medication use. 'The free clinic services brought not only physical care, but also made us feel warmth and affection,' said Ms. Yang, a military dependent.
This 'Yunling Health Delivery, Warming Soldiers' Hearts' activity covered Shangri-La City, Deqin County, and Weixi County, cumulatively benefiting more than 2,200 person-visits of officers and soldiers, veterans, and military dependents. The activity's responsible official stated that the PAP Yunnan Corps Hospital will next closely integrate the mission characteristics of troop garrison locations, go deep into the frontline border defense areas to carry out routine circuit consultations and free clinics, and actively advance the 'Eight-Thousand-Li Border Defense Line Military Support and Preferential Treatment' work.
